  Natural Training for Gaited Horses

1.         Locate a suitable arena space:

a.        Large enough to comfortably accommodate 10-12 riders

b.       Covered for weather considerations

c.        Space for auditors that is safely separated from riding area

d.       Available trailer parking

e.       Locate & arrange possible overnight equine boarding options for participants

f.        (Optional) consider arranging reduced rates with a local hotel

g.       (Optional) consider organizing food and refreshment options for clinic day lunches

2.        Calculate costs and charges:

a.        Arena rental

b.       Any insurance required by arena

c.        Clinician costs

d.       Clinician travel, lodging, meal per diem (contact clinician for good-faith estimate of expenses)

3.        Determine number of days and number of riders per day to arrive at participation fees to be charged

a.        All costs + needed profit ÷ number of riders X days = per rider/per day fee to be charged

b.       Consider auditor fees as bonus profit and set fees accordingly (recommend $15 - $25 per day)

4.       Contact clinician and work out schedule with available arena dates to set schedule

            a.   Review, sign and mail hosting contract

 

5.        Anita will design a flyer for both publication online and handouts once topics and schedule have been determined

6.       Anita has a participant application and liability release to be complete by every participant

7.        Promote clinic to all available local resources, gaited clubs, etc. and Anita will promote it to online resources.
